Twitter Announces Go Live Feature

Twitter’s Go Live feature went active on December 28, 2016. The company partnered with Periscope to offer 360-degree interactive videos.

Twitter explained in its blog post that when you see a video marked with a LIVE 360 badge, you can interact with it to change what you see by moving your phone or swiping the screen - all while watching live. See what’s unfolding behind, above, or below the broadcaster’s view for an immersive experience.

Periscope stated that the product is only being tested by a small group of partners, but will be expanded in the coming weeks. There’s a waitlist which can be linked to from Periscope - https://medium.com/@periscope.

This could be a game changer for companies that post videos online. The 360 experience would give customers an extremely-detailed view of the part / car they are buying.

Facebook also has a live feature and YouTube has several video options as well.
