Tips for Business Growth in 2019




Atlanta-based marketing, advertising and public relations firm My Basic LLC has unveiled tips that can catapult your business to success this year.

Assess what's going on - Each business is unique and has different needs, same as the audience the business is focused on reaching. What marketing tools have worked and what hasn't worked for your business? If you want different results you have to do think different and do that which you haven't done before.

Plan - How do I succeed at my business more? Develop or redevelop a plan that is measurable. Keep what has worked and adjust what hasn't. Your business plan/marketing plan should have all the answers and questions. If you don't have a tried and tested plan, consult a marketing firm to help out.

B.u.d.g.e.t. - Are you familiar with the saying "it takes money to make money?" There is truth to it, more than some may think. A businesses budget should be consistent with realistic goals. It is not uncommon to invest between 5%-10% of gross revenue. How much you invest will depend on how successful and aggressive you want to be with your investment.

Stick to the plan - It is good to continually look at your business/marketing plan to gauge growth. Are you on track? If not let's talk about it.

Operate within your means - Your means is your ability and the resources available for you to use to grow your business. Remember not to overextend yourself whether it's money (your budget), time, or talent. Many businesses have competitors who have gargantuan budgets and that's ok. We won't use that as an excuse to not get out there, meet a need, compete, do business, build relationships, and win!

Leverage time - Don't try to do everything yourself. You could experience burn out and your business could suffer. If you work with an experienced marketing firm, it's highly probable they'll help you meet your business goals, leverage your time, and better position you to macro-manage your business. If there is an area you need help with that is not within your scope of experience, call in the experts.

Grow your team - It's okay to acknowledge "I can't do everything myself" when it comes to operating your business. That's where you use wisdom and call in backup, whether that's a new employee or hiring a business that provides the service you need.
