Mitchell To Acquire Cogent Works

Insurance claims software-solutions provider Mitchell International (www.mitchell.com) announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of Cogent Works, a leading provider of pharmacy network and benefit management services to the automobile casualty and workers’ compensation markets. This acquisition will allow Mitchell to provide a full end-to-end pharmacy solution to both auto and workers’ compensation payers through the integration of Cogent Works’ solutions.

Janet Barnard Named President Of Manheim North America

Cox Automotive President Sandy Schwartz announced today that Janet Barnard will take on the role as president of Manheim North America, effective immediately. Barnard previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

PartsTrader recently announced that it has surpassed the $1 billion mark in net order volume since the tool launched in February 2012.

CCC Acquires Actual Systems Of America

CCC Information Services Inc. (CCC) announced it has acquired the assets of Actual Systems of America (ASA), provider of Pinnacle Professional automotive recycling software. The transaction, which advances CCC’s auto parts strategy, will lead to the creation of the CCC Pinnacle Yard Management solution, a system for yard management, repair management and parts eCommerce. CCC and ASA announced plans to begin integrating ASA’s Pinnacle Professional solution with the CCC TRUE Parts Network in July 2014.

I-CAR Releases 2015 Ford F-150 Collision Repair Sheets

I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, announced that it has made Ford’s 51 collision repair instruction sheets on the new 2015 Ford-150 available on the I-CAR Repairability Technical Support (RTS) Portal.

GM To Restore Sinkhole Corvette

Officials at General Motors recently announced that it will take about six months to restore the 1-millionth Chevrolet Corvette that was damaged when it fell into a sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. in February 2014. Last August the automaker announced that it would restore three of the Corvettes that were damaged, the 2009 Corvette ZR1 prototype, known as the Blue Devil, and the 1-millionth Corvette produced - a white 1992 convertible and the 1962 Corvette.
