I-CAR Releases 2015 Ford F-150 Collision Repair Sheets
I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, announced that it has made Ford’s 51 collision repair instruction sheets on the new 2015 Ford-150 available on the I-CAR Repairability Technical Support (RTS) Portal.
The sheets provide detailed instructions on part removal and installation procedures for front rail (apron tube) installation, pillars and rocker panel installation, roof and roof rail installation and more.
Ford is the first manufacturer to release comprehensive instruction sheets of this scale to the collision repair industry through the RTS Portal.
“As we speak the new, aluminum-intensive 2015 Ford F-150 is coming off the assembly line. It is important for collision repair professionals to have the information readily available to repair this popular vehicle made with new materials,” said Jason Bartanen, director of Industry Technical Relations for I-CAR. “Working with Ford to provide this information out via the RTS Portal improves industry access to the information required to support complete, safe and quality repairs.”
I-CAR is also offering its 2015 Ford F-150 Structural Repair course that covers material-specific training and highlights the unique processes associated with aluminum repair of the F-150.
