POWERNATION's New Show, CARCASS, Set To Launch in Spring of 2020
POWERNATION has announced a long-term partnership with NBC Sports Network and the doubling of distribution on Gray television stations for the 2020 season. As part of the long-term partnership, America’s #1 automotive how-to television franchise will launch a new show “CARCASS” set to air in NBCSN’s primetime “Overdrive” block.
“We are thrilled to announce a long-term partnership with NBCSN and a brand-new show to go along with our other hit automotive programs “Detroit Muscle,” “Truck Tech,” and “Engine Power,”” POWERNATION President Matthew Hawkins said. “We believe that “CARCASS” will be a fresh take that’s unlike anything in the automotive how-to space. We can’t wait for our fans to see it.”
"We are so pleased to announce our multi-year extension with RTM Studios. The “POWERNATION” block, “On the Road” specials and the addition of a brand-new series are sure to be fan favorites in our Home of Motorsports line-up", said Jeff Macaluso, Sr. Director Programming, NBC Sports.
“CARCASS” will be hosted by current XOR host Jeremy Weckman and car builder Jimmy King. The new show will be filmed in Nashville, Tennessee beginning in October with its premiere in Spring of 2020. In “CARCASS”, hosts Weckman and King pick on the bones of a great automotive idea and bring it to life in the shop. Fabricating, building performance, and delivering the payoff, the duo will take the ordinary to extraordinary! When it doesn’t make sense, that’s when we get in the garage and do it!
In addition to the new show, the distribution of POWERNATION’s hit shows have expanded dramatically. “CARCASS” and the long-standing POWERNATION shows will first air on NBC Sports Network followed by free over the air and digital distribution. The over-the-air distribution on Gray television stations has risen from 42 stations to 82 stations across the US. Following the television airings, POWERNATION shows will be available on YouTube, Samsung’s TV Plus, Amazon Prime, XUMO, and the POWERNATION app on Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and Apple and Android devices.
