Auction To Feature Dealership Collection Of Classic Vehicles
Five hundred classic vehicles from the 1930s - 1970s will be up for auction on September 28 - 29, 2013 near Pierce, Neb. The collection is owned by Ray P. Lambrecht, who owned Lambrecht Chevrolet Company from 1946 - 1996. The collection also includes 30 - 50 Chevrolet vehicles that are essentially new and never sold, most have 10 miles or less and still on the Manufacturers Statement of Origin (MSO).
Lambrecht ran the dealership with his wife, Mildred, and built a stock of used trade-ins at his family farm. Lambrecht, now 95, can still remember where all the vehicles came from and the stories about selling them. New cars that were unsold from their year were also brought out to the farm and stored. Some noteworthy vehicles in the collection include: a 1978 Chevrolet Indy Pace Car with fi ve miles still on MSO, a 1965 Impala 396 FAC car with fi ve miles on MSO, 1958 Chevrolet Cameo Pickup on MSO with two miles, 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air four-door, hard top with two miles, 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS with low miles. The list goes on with approximately 50 cars still on MSO. The collection of vehicles includes everything from survivor cars, projects and some of them are parts cars or donors due to the elements.
VanDerBrink Auctions, LLC will conduct an auction of the entire collection on September 28 - 29 at the farm in Pierce, Neb., just south of town. The vehicles, along with an assortment of New Old Stock (NOS) parts, tools and some memorabilia will be offered at no reserve to the highest bidder. The inventory will be available to bidders onsite with online bidding available.
