A vehicle’s seats take a lot of wear and tear, and replacing them with new can be costly. The Locator’s Erin Sandage took a look at how replacing a worn seat with a used one can be an affordable option.
Dick’s Auto in Middlebury, Ind., is just one industry company that sells new takeout seats and used seats in good condition. The company sees a high demand for its products, and ships daily via UPS or freight.
“If you look into purchasing a new seat from your local dealer, you can only purchase them piece by piece. That adds up very quickly and can easily go for $2,000 or more just for a seat,” said Sean Berkey of Dick’s Auto Parts.
