Promotion of one's business requires dedication, persistence and a positive outlook. For 15 years, Mark Oquisanti has brought tens of thousands of potential customers to his business, Mark's Auto Parts & Recyclers, Inc. in East Granby, Conn. (Marks-AutoParts.com), with a summer-long "Mark's Classic Cruise" event.

"Mark has always been good at publicizing his business locally and at industry events. Even the entrance to the business is memorable with life-sized sculptures of a cow, a camel and a very large turkey," said Locator vice president Charis Lloyd.

"[The cruise] brings people to the area," acknowledged George Spooner, sales manager. "People that wouldn't think of buying used probably will if they break a taillight or need a transmission."
