Telematics Legislation Introduced In Rhode Island

Telematics, and impact of connected cars in the future, is being addressed in the state of Rhode Island. The Automotive Service Association (ASA) released that Rhode Island Senate Majority Leader Dominick Ruggerio introduced Senate Bill 2055 on January 13 to protect consumer rights relating to the access and sharing of connected car data.

Louisiana State Farm Lawsuit Up In The Air

The fate of a lawsuit filed against State Farm Insurance in Louisiana, and recently transferred back to the state by a federal judge, is currently unknown. That’s because the lawsuit was originally filed by Buddy Caldwell, the former attorney general of the state, who recently lost his position as voters ousted him in favor of Jeff Landry in the November 2015 election.

EPA Files Complaint Against Volkswagen, Audi And Porsche

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), on behalf of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), filed a civil complaint in federal court in Detroit, Michigan against Volkswagen AG, Audi AG, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc., Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations, LLC, Porsche AG, and Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (collectively referred to as Volkswagen).

Spring Full Of Recycler Training Events
