Hundreds of United Recyclers Group (URG) members and nonmembers geared up for success at the 2012 URG & Pinnacle Training Conference on April 12 - 15 in Englewood, Colo.
The event was held at the same facility as 2011, The Inverness Hotel & Conference Center. It featured 25 vendors, including The Locator, Brock Supply, Legend Smelting & Recycling, Inc. and Phoenix Automotive Cores, to name a few.
Dozens of programs and sessions were scheduled on Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Networking events were also held each evening.
“The URG show is one of the most organized and timely shows we have ever been to,” said Lori Handke, Locator sales representative. “Everything stays right on schedule for those two days.”
Speakers included Dwight Howard with APU Solutions, who was a keynote speaker, Terry Westedt, general manager of Weller Auto Parts, Inc. and Rob Rainwater, sales manager at Jerry Brown’s Auto Parts Center, Ltd. in Queensbury, N.Y.
Industry experts also attended the event, including Bill Stevens, Jim Counts and Rian Garner from Counts Consulting, Mike Lambert from Buddy Automotive Innovations LLC, Mike James from James Environmental Management, Inc. and Ginny Whelan from ARA University.
“Our favorite part is the fact that we were able to see many of our customers that we haven’t seen for a couple of years,” said Cindy VanAuken, Locator sales representative. “They were very happy to see us showing support for the trade show.”
